Nirmalagiri College welcomed the first batch of students from Manipur to pursue their higher education here. Samuel Guite and Netchinthen Donhga have joined for B.Sc. Chemistry and M.A Economics respectively. They were given a warm welcome to the college by Principal Dr. T. K. Sebastian, teachers and students of Nirmalagiri College.

The Post Graduate Department of Economics on the occasion of its Diamond Jubilee, organized a National Conference “Electronic Banking Awareness and Training (e-BAAT)” in association with RBI on 23-08-2023. Ms Latha P Kurup, Assistant General Manager, Canara Bank Regional Office Kannur South inaugurated the Conference. Dr Sebastian T K, Principal, Nirmalagiri College presided the inaugural session. Shri Monikandan V G, Manager, Banking Department, RBI and Shri Sathiyamoorthi S, Manager, CEPC, RBI, Thiruvananthapuram handled various sessions.

NSS units of Nirmalagiri College in association with Mangattidom Grama Panchayat organized the "Meri Mitti Mera Desh" Campaign on 14/08/2023. The program was inaugurated by the Panchayath President, Gnagdharan Master. He planted a tree sapling in the Kanderi Pachathuruthu area to mark the beginning of the tree-planting initiative. Sri. Basheer, a Member of the Block Panchayath, presided over the event, indicating the support of local governance in the initiative. The program had several dignitaries present, including NSS program officers, Dr. Jaison Joseph and Smt. Deepthi Lisbeth K, as well as Ward Member Smt. Mini, who felicitated the event. The Assistant Secretary, Bindhu, welcomed the gathering, setting a positive tone for the event. Representatives from NSS Units 25 and 26 were present in the program and planted a total of 75 trees during the program, contributing significantly to environmental conservation. An oath-taking ceremony was conducted, indicating the participants' commitment to the cause of environmental protection and tree planting. The program concluded with the singing of the national anthem, signifying unity and patriotism towards the country. The event highlights the collaborative efforts of the college NSS units, local panchayat, and community members in promoting environmental sustainability and community engagement. Initiatives like this play a crucial role in raising awareness about the environment and fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature.
